Here’s where the fun stuff is.
My Heroes and Heroine’s like to cook and eat.  Here are some of their favorite recipes straight from the pages of my books.
Divine Desserts – Sensuous Goodies that  will heat you right up.
Kat Conner likes to make her spicy chocolate pie for her man, Harris Rhodes.
Here’s the recipe so you can heat up your man too!
  One pre-baked pie crust
  1 Cup sugar
  ½ tsp salt
  7 Tbsp flour
  1 tsp Cayenne
  1 tsp cinnamon
  a dash of black pepper
2 Cups milk (whole is best)
  2 oz Bakers Unsweetened Chocolate
  2 Egg yolks
  1 tsp Vanilla
  1 Tbsp Butter
Separate eggs and set yolks aside in a cup. You can discard egg whites or use later for meringue. Mix sugar, flour , salt, cayenne, cinnamon and in a medium pot.  Slowly whisk in milk until there are no lumps.  Break up chocolate squares and add to mixture. Heat on medium and stir. When mixture is hot, but not yet thick add a couple of spoonfuls of to the eggs to temper them, whisking the eggs and hot milk mixture together. Then add it to the pot. Continue to heat.  The chocolate will melt and blend and the mixture will become thick. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon.  The filling is ready when is resembles a thick pudding consistency.   Take off the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla.  Pour the filling into the baked pie crust.  Serve with meringue or whipped cream.

  Colin and Kat’s Watermelon Pie
  ½  watermelon
  1 honeydew
  1 canteloupe
1 pint each strawberries, black berries and blueberries (or whatever else you have)
  2 Tbsp Grape Jelly
1 Cup red wine (Merlot works well)
Scoop out all three melons with a melon baller into a separate bowl, stir together with the berries.  Scoop any remaining watermelon to resemble a bowl. Turn the hollowed out watermelon over and slice part of the bottom of the rind off to make a flat surface. Return the fruit mixture to the now empty watermelon half. Chill.
In a small pan whisk together the jelly and the wine.  Heat on medium. Stir.  Continue to heat until mixture is reduced by ½ to 2/3.  Cool.
When ready to serve drizzle the reduction over the watermelon filling.

The Way to a Man’s Heart – Good down-home cooking
Because we all know the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.
Cheesy Burgers - A simple way to jazz up a classic favorite. Makes 4-6 burgers
  1 lb hamburger
1 Tbsp Worchestershire sauce per burger
2 oz cheese per burger, crumbled or shredded.
Choose any sort of cheese you like for this recipe.  Kids tend to like milder cheeses like mozzerella and light cheddars.  It’s easy enough to just get a packet of the mixed shreds the grocery stores offer, like pizza blend or mexican blend too.I like hard cheeses like Parmesan and Manchego.  Adults really go for the stinky cheeses like a good strong Blue or a Gruyere.
Divide burger into 4-6 portions.  Mix in the cheese and sauce, I find it best to do this in a bowl, with my fingers.  Form into patties.
Grill over an open flame if you’ve got it until the cheeses start oozing.
Toast the buns and lightly butter them.
Top with your favorite condiments.
